Pre-procedure advice
FOR ALL TREAMENTS - PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR TREATMENTS
-
Permanent makeup normally requires multiple treatment sessions. For the best results, clients will be required to return for at least one touch up session within 6 – 8 weeks from the initial session.
-
You may experience some minor discomfort. Skin may be red/swollen immediately after the procedure. You can wear normal makeup on the day but be aware it will be wiped off around the treatment area.
-
Please be aware that the colour intensity will be significantly darker immediately after the procedure. However, the colour will reduce by 30% - 50%Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity
-
Discontinue use of any brow and lash growth serums for 6 months, as it can cause sensitivity and affect pigment
-
Do not take any aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication for at least 3 days before your appointment
-
Do not drink caffeine on the day of the appointment
-
Do not drink alcohol the day before or on the day of your appointment
-
Drink plenty of water in the 48 hrs leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin is the best skin to work on

Contraindications for LIPS permanent make up
-
COLD SORES - This treatment will trigger an outbreak of cold sores. You must take Aciclovir Tablets 5 days before hand. These are available from any online pharmacy. The cost of these is not covered within the price of your treatment
-
LIP FILLER - You must wait 4 weeks after having lip filler. NB: Your lips are likely to swell more as well during treatment but this usually subsides within 24 hrs
-
CORRUGATED LIPS - If you have heavy lines around the lips you cannot have a defined liner as the pigment is likely to migrate into the lines. A very soft colour will be applied at the first visit so we can assess the healed results.
-
GORTEX LIP IMPLANTS - This is a treatment to improve heavy lines around the lips. If you have had this treatment you cannot have lip blush because it thins the lip skin
-
HYPERPIGMENTATION - If you have hyperpigmentation you cannot have lip blush as it will cause further hyperpigmentation
LIP PRE-CARE & THINGS TO BE AWARE OF
-
Exfoliate with a clean toothbrush twice a day 2 days prior to your appointment
-
No sunbeds or alcohol 2-4 days
-
Because the lips are flaky for a number of days (mine were for 6 days) additional touch ups are chargeable and non-negotiable. This could be up at least half the price of the original treatment, price will vary and will be discussed with you. It all depends on the amount of work required.
